Association of Foreign Correspondents visits IST Austria

The Association of Foreign Correspondents in Vienna yesterday paid a visit to the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (IST Austria). The group of 12 members reporting for media outlets in Germany, Russia, Slovenia, Ukraine, and Mongolia was welcomed by President Thomas Henzinger who gave the delegation a status report of the institute’s development. This was followed by a tour of the compound including a glimpse into the labs at the Bertalanffy Foundation Building before the group met the Professors Carl-Philipp Heisenberg, Simon Hippenmeyer and Christoph Lampert, and the PhD students Daniel Capek and Konstanze Simbriger for a detailed discussion.
