Mathematician Zuzana Patáková receives Bolzano Prize
Prestigious prize of Charles University awarded to IST Austria postdoc
Zuzana Patáková received the Bolzano Prize for her paper on “Bounding Helly numbers via Betti numbers”. She is a mathematician who did her PhD studies at the Charles University in Prague, worked as a postdoc at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem , under the supervision of Karim Adiprasito and Gil Kalai for one year, and then joined IST Austria as a postdoc in the Wagner Group. The Bolzano Prize is a prestigious prize of Charles University awarded to their students for exceptionally innovative work reaching across the boundaries of individual disciplines which was done during their studies.
