Miba Machine Shop
The Miba Machine Shop produces and provides special mechanical and electronic equipment for all experimentalists and neuroscientists in particular. Complete technical solutions that may consist of several products are offered for non-standard experiments.
Miba Machine Shop is equipped with CNC milling machines, CNC lathe machine, grinding and buffing machine. Among its high-end machines are 3D printers, produced by 3DSystems. Due to its high precision, the new 3D printing technology is used for small details in complex designs, e.g. for micro drive production.

Miba Machine shop provides ISTA scientists with the following services:
- Design and production of new non-standard, non-mass manufactured equipment for experiments
- Development of new products in line with the needs of the researchers
- On-going technical support (real-time basis) for specific experiments
- Design and printing of 3D plastics parts
- PCB design and production
- Maintenance and repair of scientific instruments and devices
- Emergency repairs if scientific equipment fails to perform during a scientific experiment and the experiment cannot be completed or postponed
- Vibration measurement
